Complete our quick and easy form and we will be in touch within two working days. After our initial appraisals we may ask for additional images, videos and provenance. We will discuss two simple options to sell your art, outlined below, or we may choose to decline.
Option 1. Instant Buy: upon our final appraisal we may offer you an instant buy price, if you accept the offer you will receive payment straight away.
Option 2. Consignment: we sell the work on your behalf on a pre agreed commission. Working together, we agree a retail price before you sign a consignment Agreement. Once the Agreement is signed, we market the artwork on your behalf for a pre agreed commission. Artmarket will hold exclusivity on the sale of your artwork for 6 months. The agreed commission is deducted when the piece sells and the balance is paid to you by bank transfer 14 days after the artwork is delivered and accepted by the new owner.

We have premium access to the worlds best platforms, including Artsy and Artnet, so as well as your artwork being listed on our site, you also get listed on our partner sites.
Professional Photography and Video
Our in house studio is equipped with the latest and best equipment. Our professional photographers and videographers will shoot your artwork, creating quality images for marketing.
Secure Storage and Insurance
Our storage facility is secure, temperature controlled and has a 24hr monitored security. Whilst we hold your work rest assured it is full insured by us to a ‘market value’.
Acceptance or Decline
We review your online submission. We may contact you to arrange a call to talk things over in more detail. We will then give you an indication if we are interested in buying or marketing your artwork for sale or we may decline.
Collection of Your Art
The team will discuss the best way to organise collection/delivery to the Artmarket Gallery for final appraisal. Once delivered to us it is fully covered under our insurance and our responsibility.
Condition Report, Authentication & Agreement
Upon receipt of your artwork our professional in-house team will create a full condition report and authenticate the piece/s. We will then either make an offer to Instant Buy or suggest Consignment (sell on your behalf), or we may decline both options and ask you to arrange collection.
Sales & Marketing
Once an agreement is in place we will photograph/video your artwork in our studio ready for our sales team to market and advertise the piece to our database, web site and through our industry professional sales channels. We're here to help find your preloved pieces the best possible new homes and sale price.
Getting Paid
Once your artwork has been authenticated if we have offered Instant Buy and both parties have agreed a price we will ask you to sign a Contract of Sale. Once signed and dated you will receive your payment within 24 hours by bank transfer to your bank account. If you have selected a Consignment Agreement, when your artwork sells you will receive your payment 14 days after it is delivered to the new owner.
Instant buy
Our Instant Buy service is an original service unique to Artmarket. Upon your artworks arrival, it will undergo processing and once verified you will receive payment within 48 hours. It’s that easy!
Consign to Artmarket
Our Consignment service provides you with the optimal way to maximise your earnings on your preloved art and sculpture and allows you to earn up to 85% of the sale price.
We sell the artwork on your behalf and charge a commission on the sale price. Artmarket will hold exclusivity on the sale of your artwork for 6 months. Once the piece has sold, your payment will be processed within 18 days after the sale of your item.

FAQ’s
Whats the difference between Instant Buy and Consignment
You get the money straight away if you select Instant Buy if you accept our Offer Price and we have authenticated your artwork. If you Consign your artwork to us and we accept it then you receive payment (less our commission) when sold and 14 days after delivery to the new owner.
Is my art insured whilst held by Artmarket?
Yes if we have agreed to take your art on Consignment the work is covered under our insurance policy for damage, or theft. PLEASE NOTE; it is not covered on our insurance whilst in delivery from you the Consignor to us the Consignee that is your responsibility.
Does Artmarket offer Consignment service?
Yes. For clients wishing to Consign their items, we take care of all the hard work for you. Your item will undergo authenticity and condition checks, through to expert photography and consignment. Once your artwork sells, you will receive your final payment by bank transfer 14 days after it’s delivered to the new owner.
What fees will be charged for using the Artmarket Consignment service?
Our commission fee starts from 15% and increases depending on the artwork you wish to Consign with us. You will be informed of the exact rate once we have appraised your artwork and this will be included in your Consignment Agreement. Please note, a Service Charge of £100 will be payable if you request your item to be returned back to you which covers our time in cataloguing, professionally photographing and listing the artwork on our platforms. Packing and delivery back to you will charged in addition to the Service Charge and will depend on the value of the item and its individual packing requirements.

How will I be paid for my art?
If you decide to sell by our Instant Buy service, after we have received your artwork, we will pay you within 48hrs once your artwork has passed authentication and appraisal. Payment will be made via bank transfer directly to your account. If you agree to Consign your art, you will be paid 14 days after your item has been delivered to the new owner. This 14-day payout period ensures protection for both parties - the buyer and the seller.
How long will it take my item to sell if I consign?
Limited editions that have sold out and quality originals can sell very quickly but you should be prepared for the process to take up to 6 months. If after this period of Consignment your artwork hasn’t sold then you or we Artmarket can request that the artwork is returned. In this case a Service Charge of £100 will be payable by you which covers our time in cataloguing, professionally photographing and listing the artwork on our platforms. Packing and delivery back to you will charged in addition to the Service Charge and will depend on the value of the item and its individual packing requirements or you can arrange to collect from our secure storage facility.
