Totnes-based artist and graphic designer Louise Dear was commissioned by Alfa Romeo to transform and help launch their new eco-friendly Alfa MiTo. The car was unveiled in Covent Garden on Thursday and the results are impressive. Mum of one Dear, who travelled the world before settling in Devon, is partly influenced by a background in fashion design.Her bright, dynamic works are a mixture of pop art and Gustav Klimt, and are also influenced by Japanese printmaker Kitagawa Utamaro and Art Deco.Dear said: "I am a painter in love with painting; with a passion and urgent need to create."
