Ben Jeffery’s Education Journey

Ben Jeffery had his sights set on being an artist throughout secondary school. He and his friends would have ‘bets’ for who could draw the best portrait at school, Jeffrey won with a portrait of his father, which garnered admiration from his entire art class.

Jeffery went on to pursue art to degree level, receiving guidance along the way, but largely developing his techniques independently. In college and university, Ben was encouraged to explore subjects and develop portfolios autonomously, fostering his self-taught approach.

Artistic Style and Medium

Ben Jeffery has a diverse collection, including seascapes, cityscapes and wildlife, but most notably he is celebrated for his iconic portraits of people and characters joined around a table.

In 2024, the artist released a work of art, ‘Caught Jesters’, capturing a collection of on screen ‘Jokers’ over the years. The piece was a quick sell out and paved the way for the style Jeffrey would become known for.

In 2025, he has released another work in this series, ‘Afterparty’, a limited edition that captures late icons all together around the table, sharing a drink! Jeffery brings decades together, with a magnitude of hidden messages within the piece, it truly is a feast for the eyes.

His works are created primarily in oil painting, the artist is celebrated for his vibrant and detailed works. His use of colour, light, and texture aims to capture and convey his experiences, resulting in dynamic portraits.
