In 2011, David Hockney again demonstrated his adeptness at blending traditional artistic sensibilities with contemporary tools. His "Art Edition (No. 751–1,000) 'untitled No. 778'. 17th April 2011" is an exquisite iPad drawing that captures nature's transient beauty. By 2019, this digital wonder was translated into tangible art, presented as signed 8-colour inkjet prints on luxurious cotton-fibre archival paper, limited to 250 editions. Each image carries the imprints of Hockney's signature, date, and a distinct number. The artwork, possibly depicting a Hawthorn tree adorned with radiant pink blossoms, stands against the familiar window of Hockney's cherished Bridlington home in East Yorkshire. Hockney immortalizes the fleeting moments of nature through the medium of the iPad, proving his genius in traversing both the traditional and the modern in the art world.
